The Sky is Falling
Why are we, Christians, pessimistic about what is going on in the world? Why do we not trust that God has this under control? Why don’t we have faith that our God is bigger than all this?
In Numbers 13, the Isealites didn’t trust that God could defeat the giants in the promise land. This lack of faith, this negativity, this pessimism, lead to them wandering the desert for 40 years.
My God is bigger than this world, and he already defeated death in hell and nothing can separate me from His love. So today, let’s stop being pessimistic about what is going on in the world, in our lives, and start trusting that God is in control. Let’s be a generation of optimistic Christ followers.
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
